SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria Nationality
For SSC CGL Eligibility, a candidate must be:
- An Indian citizen, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia), or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (B) and (C) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

SSC CGL Physical Eligibility Criteria
Certain positions, such as Inspector (Central Excise/Examiner/Preventive Officer), Inspector & Sub-Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Sub-Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), require candidates to meet specific physical standards and pass physical efficiency tests. People With Disabilities (PwDs) are eligible to appear for the SSC CGL exam with special eligibility criteria.
